God first appeared on the scene of human history in the role of a matchmaker. What a profound and exciting revelation! Is it too much to suggest that Eve came to Adam on the arm of the Lord Himself in the same way that a bride today walks down the aisle of the church on her father’s arm? What human mind can fathom the depth of love and joy that filled the heart of the great Creator as He united the man and woman in this first marriage ceremony? Surely this account is one among countless indications that the Bible is not a work of merely human authorship. Moses is generally accepted as the author of the creation record. But apart from supernatural inspiration, he would never have dared to open human history with a scene of such amazing intimacy–first between God and man, and then between man and woman. . About This Quote

In the beginning, God created the heavens and Earth. In the beginning, He created man in His own image. In the beginning, He had a perfect plan for mankind's creation. But in the beginning it didn't go so well.

There was a problem with Adam and Eve which God knew about in advance, but they were ignorant of it. Their disobedience would have been minor had there not been a greater problem. As it is written in Genesis 2:18-3:1, Adam and Eve were banished from Eden to live in the land of Nod where they would have to work for their food.In chapter 3:1-4, we read that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ into the world to save man from his sin and death by offering a perfect plan for his redemption with a perfect sacrifice.

The problem with Adam and Eve was great enough to send Jesus Christ to Heaven to die on a cross at their feet for their sins and return to life three days later. This is the greatest tragedy in all history because they were banished from Eden and Jesus died on the cross for them, but they did not know what had happened or why they were suffering this suffering, so they did not accept the gift of salvation.Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God come in human flesh and that He rose from death three days after His crucifixion just as He said “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall never hunger (John 6:35). From then on, men and women could eat this bread of life and never again be separated from Him by death forever!
